一、报告题目:Two Sample Test for Functional Data with Application to a Diffusion Tensor Imaging Study of Multiple Sclerosis
二、 摘要
In order to analyze diffusion tensor imaging (DTI) data to assist in the research of neurodegenerative diseases such as multiple sclerosis (MS), we propose a low-order moment test procedure for two sample functional data. We use the continuity of the functional data to reduce the dimension to obtain a vector-based two samples first, which contain different information of the low-order moments of the original data. And then, we use Hotelling’s T2 or its variants to construct testing statistics. The simulation results in different scenarios show that our proposed test performs better than some existed functional two samples tests. In the real data analysis, using our test procedure, we get some new findings which are helpful to provide a new understanding of neurodegenerative diseases.

柏杨,上海财经大学统计与管理学经理聘副教授,博士生导师;上海财经大学数据科学与统计研究院校聘研究员,副经理。柏杨博士一直从事纵向数据分析等统计理论和方法的科学研究工作。在复杂数据分析与建模,特别是纵向数据半参数建模方面开展了许多有意义的研究工作。在国际著名的统计学期刊杂志上发表学术论文二十多篇。已经主持或参与完成多项国家级、省部级科研项目。目前,主持在研国家自然科学基金常规面上项目一项。因为在纵向数据建模方面的研究贡献,获得教育部2014年高等学校科学研究优秀成果奖(二等奖)。
